Richard Eugene "Dick" Sheedy

Richard Eugene “Dick” Sheedy, 86, of Seville, passed away on Thursday, March 2, 2023 at his home after a period of declining health.

Dick was born on Oct. 29, 1936 in Seville to Jeremiah “Jerry” And Dorothy V. (Zigler) Sheedy and was a graduate of Seville High School.  He retired from the Medina County Highway Department and had served on the Seville Fire Dept. where he had been an Assistant Chief.  Dick and his wife Bonnie had been founding members of the Medina County Antique Power Assoc. and he had made his home in Seville most of his life having live in Beallsville for several years.

Preceded by his wife Bonnie (Shartzer) Sheedy and his children, Jerry “Peach” Sheedy, William “Bill” Sheedy and Debra Griffith and a sister, Rebecca Meyers, surviving are his grandchildren, Mitchell Gurnsey, Sandi Gurnsey, Steven (Julie) Gurnsey, James Griffith, Matthew (Candace) Griffith and Kayleigh Sheedy  and a sister, Patricia Speck.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 22nd at 1:00 p.m. at the Fraternal Order of Eagles, 9953 Rittman Road, Wadsworth, OH.
