Reed Douglas Harley

Reed Douglas Harley, 35, of Wooster, left those he loved on Friday, Oct. 9, 2026, while doing what he loved, driving truck.

Reed was born in Wooster on June 12, 1991, to Robert D. and Taya R. (Stahl) Harley and was a 2009 graduate of Norwayne High School and the Wayne County Schools Career Center. On Nov. 12, 2017, Reed married the love of his life Kelly Ann Jones and together there were blessed with their children, Rhett and Maisyn. Reed worked with his father at RD Excavating and Trucking and loved working on and customizing his own truck. He cherished spending time with his wife and kids, and he was a great father whose legacy will live on in his son and daughter.

Surviving is his wife, Kelly; his son, Rhett Douglas age 9; his daughter, Maisyn Lane age 7; his father, Bob and his wife Becky Harley; his mother, Taya and her husband Aaron Huth; sister, Tiffany Harley; his grandmother, Maryanna Harley and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Doug and Lori Jones.

Reed was a simple man who wanted no celebration or service in his honor. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Wayne County Humane Society, 1161 Mechanicsburg Rd., Wooster, OH 44691.
