Raymond Dale Kinney, 66, of Burbank, passed away on Wednesday May 29th, 2024, at the Cleveland Clinic. I have to say my dad was a hero in all ways and continued this on his death by helping at least 3 people have a chance at a better life by organ donation. Ray was born on July 20th, 1957, to Forrest D. and Roberta (Clifford) Kinney. He graduated from West Holmes High School in 1975. He had worked with the Wooster City Schools and then retired from an outstanding career at Walmart there in Wooster making many lifelong friends along the way. Ray was a member of the Wooster Eagles where he enjoyed his card nights with his friends. When they weren’t playing there, they could be found enjoying a game at random friend’s homes including his own man cave in the making. Ray loved all Cleveland Sports and could talk all day statistics and trivia with the best of them, especially his BW3 family. His 2ndfavorite pastime always involved the beach, Siesta Key being his favorite. Lately he was an avid walker around his community and would love to stop and talk with any and everyone who needed a friend. His 1st love and most favorite thing to do was spend time watching his granddaughter grow.
Ray is survived by his daughter Julie Rae Kinney of Coventry Township, granddaughter Olivia Rae; sister Shirley Smith of Loudonville; brother Randall Kinney of Burbank. And many nieces’ nephews and the best of friends. He is preceded in death by his father Forrest, his mother and stepfather Roberta and George Frost. Brothers Ralph, Donald and Stanley.
A celebration of life “a Ray Day” will be held on his birthday July 20th. Apologies as details will need to come later as to the location.
