Randall Scott Winkler, 61, of Creston, died Saturday, Jan. 25, 2025 at University Hospital in Cleveland after becoming ill on Saturday.
Randy was born on Aug. 18, 1963 in Wadswoth to Edward and Wanda (Coen) Winkler and was a 1982 graduate of Norwayne High School and the Wayne County Schools Career Center. He was currently working at Morgan Trucking in Orrville and had previously worked at Alloy Fabricators in Lodi and Packaging Specialties in Medina. Randy had also owned Imperial Metal Solutions in Cleveland and Pike Station Inn in Creston. Randy was a jack of all trades that could fix, make or repair anything. He enjoyed fishing, deer hunting, working on cars, woodworking and farming. He was a member of Creston Moose Lodge 1224 and the America Legion in Beallsville.
Surviving is his wife, Brenda who he married on Dec. 31, 2015; son and daughter-in-law, Tim and Jess Pagniano of Creston; granddaughter, Sage Pagniano and grandson Brendan Robertson; great-granddaughter, Alaura Robertson; his brother and sister-in-law, Scott and Wendy Winkler of Creston; nieces and nephews, Sarah Winkler, Nathan and Heather Winkler, Timothy and Vicki Winkler, Lydia and Eddie Reichenbacher and Josiah and Annie Power; great-nieces and great-nephew, Tori Lynn Winkler, Noel Winkler, Malachi Winkler and Oaklyn Reichenbacher; aunts, Kathleen Shane and Evelyn Baumgardner and many cousins.
He was preceded by his father, Ed Winkler; his mother and step-father, Wanda and Pat Halpin; grandparents and aunts and his Winkler uncles.
Services will be Thursday, Jan. 30th at 11:00 a.m. at Murray Funeral Home with burial following at Creston Maple Mound Cemetery. Friends may call on Wednesday from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
