Piper Jean Gartin

Piper Jean Gartin, 17 months of Rittman was welcomed into the arms of her Grandma, Lena Smead in Heaven on Sunday, Nov. 19, 2023.  Piper fought very hard from the time of her birth at Akron Children’s Hospital and gave her family 17 months of forever joy.

Piper loved her stuffed animals, her hair bows and was a Minnie Mouse girl.  She enjoyed spa days with Mom and bedtime stories and movies with her Dad and she will be forever loved.

She was greatly loved by her parents, Cody Gartin and Savannah Darnell of Rittman; her baby sister, Lily, grandparents, Jim (Sarah) Darnell, Emily Sapp and Jeremy Gartin; great-grandparents, Carol Gartin, Geraldine Harmon; Jim and Brenda Darnell, Sheila Sapp and Bob Sapp; aunts and uncles, Brandon Smead, Amanda Smead and Ella, Addy, Gavin, Brantley, Charlie and Everleigh and all the staff and the day and night nurses at Akron Children’s Hospital.

Services will be Friday, Nov. 24th at 2:00 p.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston where friends may call from 1:00 p.m. until time of services.  Burial will be in Creston Maple Mound Cemetery.  Contributions may be made to the Piper Gartin gofundme  https://gofund.me/0cf7bed5
