Phyllis Anne Seiberling, 94, of Creston, passed away peacefully on Friday, Dec. 27, 2024 at Danbury of Wooster. Phyllis was born in Seville on April 2, 1930 to Harry J. and Lyda M. (Peake) Linter. She married Duane Raber on July 10, 1948 and he preceded her in death on Aug. 23, 1955. On Nov. 15, 1958 she married Reed Seiberling and they shared nearly 60 years together until his death on Jan. 27, 2018. Phyllis was an excellent homemaker who cooked, canned and was a wonderful baker. From her youth, she had a great love of horses which carried on to her children through 4-H. Phyllis was a member of the Creston Canaan united Methodist Church and was a longtime member of Wayne County Farm Bureau. She enjoyed playing cards with friends and vacations at the family home in Canada. Surviving are her six children, Phil and Joy Raber, Bruce and Laura Raber, Lu Ann and Art Steiner, Betty and Jeff Underwood, Joyce and Jim Rice and Susan Brown and Tom McKenzie; 14 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandson. She was preceded in death by her husbands, her parents and brothers, Bill and Bob Linter. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, Jan. 9th at 11:00 a.m. at Creston-Canaan United Methodist Church, 166 S. Main St., Creston with Pastor Kimmy Farone and John Murray officiating. Burial will be at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. Friends will be received from 10:00 a.m.until time of services. Memorial contributions may be made to Creston Canaan UMC, PO Box 1111, Creston, OH 44217 or to Ohio’s Hospice LifeCare, 1900 Akron Rd., Wooster, OH 44691. The family extends their deepest appreciation and thanks to the wonderful staff of Danbury of Wooster for the wonderful care given to their Mother.
