Phyllis Eileen Buckholdt

Phyllis Eileen Buckholdt, 87, of Wadsworth, passed away on Friday, Dec. 5, 2025, at her home after a brief illness.

She was born in Brunswick on Aug. 12, 1938, to James Walter and Flossie (Kimble) Allen and married Phillip A. Buckholdt on Jan. 5, 1958. He preceded her in death on April 20, 2010. Phyllis retired from Bob Evans in Wadsworth and had previously worked at the 76 Truck Stop in Seville and Rizzi’s in Wadsworth. She was affiliated with Deep Water Community Church in Wadsworth and had enjoyed doing word searches, playing Bingo and thrift store shopping.

Surviving are her four children, Phillip Buckholdt, Jr. of Wadsworth, Peggy Buckholdt of Wadsworth, Luann Light of Wooster, and James Buckholdt of Wadsworth; 6 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, a granddaughter, Jennifer, great-grandson, Bryan; brothers, Carl, Ernest, Walter Dale and Kenneth and sisters, Gladys, Faye, Marian and Maye.

Friends may call on Wednesday, Dec. 10th from 5-7 p.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston where Don Bolich will conduct services at 7:00 p.m. Interment will be at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Murray Funeral Home, 173 S. Main St., Creston, OH 44217 for funeral expenses.
