Peter John Jacob

Peter John Jacob, 66, of Lodi, passed away on Saturday, August 20, 2022 at Hillcrest Hospital in Mayfield Heights.

He was born on Oct. 23, 1955 in Cleveland to Michael and Sarah (Nicholson) Jacob and was a 1974 graduate of Brunswick High School.  On July 19, 1980 he married Penny Ann Skolnik and they had made their home in Lodi for the past 40 years.  Pete enjoyed fishing, boating and building things but his greatest enjoyment was spending time with family.

Surviving are his wife, Penny; his children, Jackie Jacob of Medina, Jeana Jacob and fiancé’ Jeremey Nyomo of West Salem, Jesse Jacob of Lodi and Jillian Jacob of Lodi; 9 grandchildren, Madisyn, Faith, Marissa, Xiamara, Syrus, Waylon, Xyndaya, Xaidyn and Lukas; brothers, Mike Jacob, John Jacob and Joe Jacob and sisters, Nancy Setinsek, Patty and Gary “Red” Nawrocki and Rose Davis and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Carol Halley and an infant brother.

Friends may call Wednesday, Aug. 24th from 5-7 p.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston  where Pastor Doug Davidson will conduct services at 7:00 p.m.  Graveside services will be held Thursday, Aug. 25th at 1:00 p.m. at Woodlawn Cemetery in Lodi.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Murray Funeral Home, 173 S. Main St., Creston, OH 44217 for expenses.
