Pauline Spencer Watts

Pauline Spencer Watts, 90, of Rittman, passed away on Sunday, May 10, 2026, at Autumnwood Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Rittman after a period of declining health.

Pauline was born on April 26, 1936, in Kenova, WV and was the youngest child of Elijah and Nannie (Chrisman) Spencer. The family moved to Rittman in the 1940’s and Pauline graduated from Rittman High School and the Wooster Beauty College. On July 1, 1956, she married Willard Earl Watts and he survives. Pauline had been a hairdresser in Rittman for many years and had operated the Cut-N-Curl Beauty Shop. Pauline loved to cook for her family, and she always enjoyed cutting the family’s hair.

Surviving are her husband of nearly 70 years, Earl; her son and daughter-in-law, Russell Earl “Rusty” and Dena Watts of Rittman; grandchildren, Matthew Watts, Jason Watts, Michael Watts, Alicia Watts, Starlyn Smallwood, Nathan Rupp and Jeraud Rupp; great-grandchildren, Jasmine Watts, Joslynn Watts, Isaiah Evans, Izabella Watts, Skyler Watts, Lance Rupp, Mackyena Bowman, Callie Rupp, Daniel Rupp and Abby Rupp and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Debra Jane Watts, son, Bobby Joe Watts, her parents and 3 brothers and 3 sisters.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 16th at 1:00 p.m. at South Main Street Church of God in Rittman with Pastors Jamie Fryberger and Jeff Ball officiating. There will be no calling hours.
