Paul Nevin Miller

Paul Nevin “Big Moose” Miller, 85, of Fredericksburg passed away peacefully in his sleep on Sunday, May 23, 2021 at LifeCare Hospice in Wooster after an extended illness.

Nevin was born Dec. 13, 1935 in Apple Creek to the late Paul S. and Rilla (Richeson) Miller and was a 1954 graduate of Apple Creek High School.  On June 25, 1955 he married the former Phyllis Benson and she survives. “ The Best Damn Truck Driver from Fredericksburg” he had been self-employed having owned Paul Miller and Sons Trucking and later retired from Yellow Freight.  He was a member of Fredericksburg Presbyterian Church and enjoyed collecting toy trucks.

Surviving is his wife, Phyllis of nearly 66 years; his 4 children, Wendy and Jim Baughman of Orrville, Jeffrey and Kerri Miller of Fredericksburg, Michelle “Mitzi’ Hackett and Dave Sears of Fredericksburg and Michael and Lynne Miller of Wooster; 13 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-granddaughter; a sister, Mary Mosher of Orrville and a brother –in-law, Ralph Shaffer of Wooster.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Miriam Shaffer and a son-in-law, Michael Hackett.
