Patricia Ann Gordon

Patricia Ann Gordon, 94, of Wooster, went to spend eternity in Heaven with her Lord and Savior and her husband of nearly 60 years, Nelson Earl Gordon on Thursday, May 19, 2016. She was born on April 1, 1922, in Creston, to Bertha Pauline (Smith) and Chester A. Reynolds. She was also blessed to later have a loving step-father, William Davis Sr. She graduated from Creston High School in 1940.

She is survived by son, Sidney Dale (Jean) Gordon of Rittman; Sally Ann (Dennis) Goode of New Boston, New Hampshire; Gwendolyn Kay (“Woody”) Mendenhall of Zanesville. Also surviving are grandchildren, Shari Wells, Todd, Jim and Scott Gordon; Robin Mendenhall, Tara Koett & Hans Mendenhall; great-grandchildren, Dustin and Dane Blake; Mitchell and Michalla Gordon; Annie, Sam, Mariana & Ellie Gordon; Ian and Claire Scott Gordon; Mason & Christian Koett; also great-great-grandchildren. Preceeded in death by daughter, Lucinda Sue Gordon in 2005; brother, William Davis, Jr.; sister, Betty (Davis) Jones.

She retired after working many years at the Ohio Cooperative Extension Service in Wooster; life-long member of Creston Presbyterian Church where she enjoyed participating in the Creston Presbyterian Women and their sewing group. She was also a member of the Daughters’ of the American Revolution and the Wayne Sewing Group and a former 4-H advisor. Mamie, as she was loving called by her family, was well known for her baking, sewing, and butterflies. She was also blessed by her life-long friendship with Ben Romich, Jr., and his family.

Services will be Monday at 11:00 a.m. at Creston Presbyterian Church with Rev. Michael Van Arsdale officiating. Burial will be in Creston Maple Mound Cemetery.
