Norma Jean Wilson, 94, of Wooster, passed away peacefully on Monday, Jan. 27, 2025 at Brookdale of Wooster after a period of declining health.
Norma was born in Wooster on May 16, 1930 to Francis and Kathryn (Myers) Cusack and was a 1948 graduate of Shreve High School. On Aug. 31, 1949 she married Richard R. Wilson and Dick preceded her in death on Dec. 25, 2019. She retired from Kroger’s and was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church where she had helped with funeral luncheons. Norma enjoyed gardening, crocheting, doing cross stich. She and Dick enjoyed traveling, boating on the lake and spending the winter months in Florida but her greatest enjoyments were her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Surviving are her sons and daughters-in-law, Patrick and Portia Wilson of Wooster, Michael and Connie Wilson of Wooster and Jeffrie and Kathy Wilson of Holmesville; her four grandchildren, Stacy Legg, Christa and her husband Scott Haven, Tammi Curtis and Brian Wilson and Amber Doup; 9 great-grandchildren; a sister, Anne Drouhard and a brother-in-law, John Harper.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dick; her parents and sisters, Helen Geioque, Patricia Brinkerhoff and Carol Harper.
Memorial services will be Tuesday, Feb. 4th at 11:00 a.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston with Father Stephen Moran officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery. Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until time of services on Tuesday. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Ohio’s Hospice LifeCare, 1900 Akron Rd., Wooster, OH 44691.
