Norina "Nora" Rhoads

Norina “Nora” Rhoads, 88, of Seville, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, Jan. 25, 2026.

Nora was born on Nov. 19, 1937 in Florence, Italy to Giocondo and Erminia (Bussi) Astorri and married Clyde M. Rhoads who was stationed in Italy at the end of the Korean War. Since 1959 she had made her home in Seville and was a member of the Our Lady of Help Christian Parish in Seville. Nora had worked at Invacare, JT Paisley Co. in Seville and had been a cook at the Westfield Companies. She enjoyed exercising at HOPS in Seville, going to the Senior Center in Medina and playing Bingo. She loved animals and she loved her family especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Surviving are her sons and daughters-in-law, John and Beverly Rhoads of Medina and Alan and Kathy Rhoads of Seville; grandchildren, Bryan Rhoads, Abby (Aaron) Goodell, Nicole (Erin) Taggert and Alexandra “Lexi” Rhoads; great-grandchildren, Mason Rhoads and Bennett Goodell and a sister, Maria Stover of North Folk, VA.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde on Aug. 2, 2017 and several brothers and sisters.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, Feb. 2nd at 12:30 p.m. at Our Lady of Help Christian Parish, 60 High St., Seville, OH with Father Joe Robinson officiating. Burial will be at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. Friends may call Sunday from 2-4 p.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Medina County SPCA or the Wounded Warriors Project.
