Neal William "Bill" White

Neal William “Bill” White, 84, of Barberton and formerly of Creston, passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, July 13, 2023 after a period of declining health.

Bill was born on Oct. 12, 1938 in Warren, OH to the late Neal William and Helen (Feazel) White and married Eleanor Patricia Blankenhorn on March 14, 1959.  Pat preceded him in death on March 28, 2023.  Bill graduated from John A. O’Connell Trade School in San Francisco and retired from Mobile Meter Labs.  He served on the Burbank/Canaan Township Fire Dept. for many years and had served as the Fire Chief, was a member of the Seville Masonic Lodge #74 F.&A.M., Ashland Chapter #92  Order of Eastern Star and the Creston-Canaan United Methodist Church.  Bill had served as a Canaan Township Trustee for several years and was honored in 2019 as a Creston Citizen of the Year.

Surviving are his daughters, Deborah Williams of Barberton, Roberta (Christopher) Morman of Leipsic and Cheryl Myers of Barberton; grandchildren, 6 grandchildren and their spouses, Tiffinay and Jesse Howells, Rebekah and Patrick Mitchell, Devon and Anthony Bertin, Daniel Morman, Emily Myers and Gaelin Myers; 2 great-grandchildren, Jaxson and Piper Mitchell and a sister-in-law, Betty White of Lodi.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Pat, brother, Alan G. White and sister, Jane Estupinian.

Memorial Services will be Thursday, July 20th at 1:00 p.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston where friends will be received from 12:00 p.m. until time of services at 1:00 p.m.  Interment will be in Canaan Cemetery.
