Nancy Lou Gross

Nancy L. Gross, 80, of Creston, passed away on Thursday, evening, Dec. 28, 2023 at The Avenue at Wooster.

Nancy was born on Aug. 25, 1943 in Elyria to the late J. Carl and Bernice (Faunce) Householder.  She graduated from Elyria High School and had worked at Buehlers in Medina in the Seafood Dept.  She was a member of the Creston-Canaan United Methodist Church and had enjoyed playing cards, bowling and working puzzles over the years.  Nancy always loved her dogs and family gatherings.

Nancy is survived by children, Leon (Joyce) Hosey of Sissonville, WV, Darrel Gross of Brunswick and Lisa (Rick) Whitley of Creston; 8 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren and a sister, Sally (Carvil) Cool of Seville,

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joel on Aug. 23, 2023; her parents, a brother, Thomas Householder and a grandson, Brandon.

Friends may call Saturday, Jan. 6th from 1:00 p.m. until time of services at 2:00 p.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston.  Burial will be at a later date at Spring Grove Cemetery in Medina.  The family would like to thank Mom’s special nurse, Lacy at the Avenue of Wooster, the staff of LifeCare Hospice and Murray Funeral Home.
