Nancy Merle Elizabeth Papp

Nancy Merle Elizabeth Papp, 84, of Creston, passed away on Sunday, May 30, 2021 at Burbank Parke Care Center after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer’s  Disease.

Born in Cleveland on Nov. 26, 1936 to the late Donald Sr. and Merle (Raker) Kupchick, Nancy was a 1955 graduate of North Royalton High School.  She married Joseph Vincent Papp and had made her home in Sterling and Creston since 1974.  Joe preceded her in death on May 28, 1992.  Nancy retired from Norwayne Local Schools after 25 years of driving school bus.  She loved her grandkids, enjoyed singing, laughing and telling stories.  She enjoyed gardening, planting flowers and her dogs and birds.  She was a wonderful cook which reflected her Hungarian heritage.

Surviving are her children, Jack (Rebecca) Papp of Wooster, Sandra (Chris) Norton of Burbank and Steven (Janell) Papp of Piqua; grandchildren, Shawn (Shannon) Bailey, Jacque Bailey, Joseph V. Bailey, Catherine Papp, Mason Papp, Carson Papp, Bailey Papp, Sydney (Justin) Norton-Lester, Klairisa Norton, Kyle (Amanda) Papp and Taylor Papp; great-grandchildren, Shawn (Bridget) Bailey, Josiah (Christine) Bailey, Ashley (Eric) Anderson, Jared Bailey, Jeremy Bailey and Katheryn Papp; and a great great-granddaughter, Charlee Anderson.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, a brother, Donald Kupchick and a great-granddaughter.

Services will be Wednesday, June 16th at 12:30 p.m. at Murray Funeral Home where friends will be received one hour prior to services.  Nancy and Joe will be laid to rest together at Ohio Western Reserve National  Cemetery.  Tributes may be shared at www.Murray-Funeral-Home.com
