Mose E. Shetler, 73, of 7565 Harrison Road, Fredericksburg, died Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2022 at Wooster Community Hospital after a period of declining health.
He was born in Wayne County on Nov. 13, 1948 to Enos and Sarah (Yoder) Shetler and married Mary D. Byler on Oct. 4, 1973. He was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
Surviving is his wife, Mary; children, Ervin Shetler of the home, Lydia and Eli Hershberger of Fredericksburg, David and Martha Shetler of Apple Creek, Susie Shetler and Fannie Shetler of the home, William and Elizabeth Shetler of the home, Lewis and Emma Shetler and Rebecca and Dennis Hostetler of Fredericksburg, Josey and Edna Shetler of Apple Creek and Mary Shetler of the home; 25 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Miriam (Fred) Scholl of McMinnville, OR, Reuben Shetler of Fredericksburg, Harvey (Ona Sue) Shetler of Sturgis, MI, Jacob (Loretta) Shetler of Adamsville, Enos Shetler Jr., of Fredericksburg, Barbara (Ervin) Petershiem of Adamsville, William (Miriam) Shetler of Fredericksburg, Mary (Joseph) Yoder of Cambridge Springs, PA, Nancy (Noah) Yoder of Adamsville and Jemima Shetler, Katie Shetler and Johnny Shetler of Fredericksburg and Brothers-in-law, Joe Byler and Eli Hostetler.
He joined in Heaven his parents, Enos and Sarah Shetler, step-mother, Mary Shetler; sisters, Martha Byler, Fannie Wengerd, Amanda Hostetler and Susie Shetler; brothers, Daniel Shetler and infant Mahlon and brother-in-law, George Wengerd
Services will be Friday, Nov. 4th at 9:00 a.m. the Eli Hershberger Residence, 7525 Harrison Rd., Fredericksburg with Bishop Atlee Hostetler officiating. Burial will be in the Troyer Cemetery. Friends may call anytime at the Shetler residence. Murray Funeral Home in Fredericksburg is handling arrangements.
