Miriam Edna (Bontrager) Miller

Miriam Edna Miller, 83, of 8660 Township Road 323, Holmesville, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 19, 2023 after a brief illness of one week.

Miriam was born in Stark County near Hartville on July 18, 1939 and was the daughter of Menno and Ellen (Frey) Bontrager. On August 2, 1958 she married Lester E. Miller and he preceded her in death on April 26, 2020.  Miriam had operated Miriam’s Back to Health Store  and she was a faithful member of Peniel Christian Fellowship.

She is survived by her three sons, Marlyn Ray (Mary) of Burns, WY, Glenn Roy (Arlene) of Millersburg and Matthew Bryan (Nicole Fisher) of Holmesville; ten grandchildren, eight  great-grandchildren and a brother-in-law, Dan Hershberger of Sugarcreek.

She was preceded in death by her husband, a grandson, a daughter-in-law, Jessica, her parents and a sister, Viola Hershberger.

Services will be held on Sunday, Jan. 22nd at 10:00 a.m. at Peniel Christian Fellowship, 9915 County Road 329, Holmesville, Ohio with burial following in the Church Cemetery.   Friends may call Friday, from 6-8 p.m. and Saturday, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the church. . Murray Funeral Home in Fredericksburg is handling arrangements.
