Milton Cox

Milton Cox, 79, of Seville, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Thursday evening, Feb. 17, 2022 after a sudden illness.

Milton was born on June 18, 1942 in Genoa, WV to the late John and Susie (Terry) Cox and served in the U.S. Army from Nov. 10, 1964 – Oct. 25, 1966.  On Dec. 12, 1970 he married Carolyn Sue Smith and she survives.  Milton retired from the Packaging Corp. of American in Rittman after 37 years and had made his home in the Sterling and Rittman area for many years before moving to Seville in 2009.  He was an avid reader and was a handy man that could fix anything.

Surviving is his wife, Sue; son, Mark Cox of Sandy Hook, KY; grandchildren, Mitchell Cox and Michelle (Dino) Cataldo; great-grandchildren, Gwen and Finn Cataldo and a brother, Dallas Cox of Rittman.

Milton was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, John Jr. and Russell Cox and sisters, Alice Skraba and Della Dingess.

Services will be Monday, Feb. 21st  at 11:00 a.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston with Pastors Aaron Bailey and Travis McKenzie officiating.  Friends may call on Sunday, Feb. 20th from 3-5 p.m. at the funeral home.  Burial will be on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital; The Haven of Rest or to Samaritan’s Purse.  Tributes may be shared at www.Murray-Funeral-Home.com
