Mildred M. (Ames) Greegor

Mildred M. Greegor, 82, of Dalton, went home to her mansion in heaven on Saturday, Dec. 24, 2022 at Shady Lawn Nursing Home in Dalton after a period of declining health.

Mildred was born on March 1, 1940 near Millersburg  to Raymond H. and Jesse M. (Rowe) Ames and married Orlo R. Greegor on Oct. 13, 1957.  Orlo preceded her in death on June 4, 2007.  She had worked at Apple Creek Developmental Center and had done home health care.  Millie enjoyed reading her Bible, crocheting, doing word puzzles and coloring.  She and Orlo had enjoyed fishing together and she always loved spending time with her kids and her grandkids.

Surviving are her children, Deborah Roberts of Dalton, Allen (Pam) Greegor of Massillon, Jeffery Greegor of Dalton and Timothy Greegor of Dalton;, 10 grandchildren,  15 great-grandchildren, and siblings, Martha Gilbert of Coshocton, Barbara Mitchell of Wooster, Richard Ames of Wooster, and Luther Ames of Hudson, FL.

She was preceded in death by her husband, son-in-law, Chuck Roberts, siblings, William, Dale and Bruce Ames, Clara Crider, Virginia Barnhart, Shirley  Martin, Patricia Russell, Betty Engelhart, Marsha Robinson, Joan Rodhe and 3 infant sisters, Nellie, Laverne and Karen.

Services will be held on Thursday, Dec. 29th at 2:00 p.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Fredericksburg where friends may call from 12:00 noon until time of services.   Burial will be in Fredericksburg East Cemetery.
