Michael Craig Schlauch

Michael Craig Schlauch, 59, of Chippewa Lake, passed away at his home on Wednesday, Sept. 20, 2023.

He was born on Oct. 12, 1963 in Lodi to Wayne A. and J. Carol (Borland) Schlauch and was a 1982 graduate of Cloverleaf High School and the Medina County Career Center.  On July 7, 1989 he married Kimberly Kopp and Kim preceded Michael in death on June 5, 2021.  He retired from Medina County Sanitary Engineers and had enjoyed maintaining his farm on River Styx before moving to Chippewa Lake.  Mike enjoyed hunting, fishing and cutting wood and he was a great mechanic who could fix just about anything.

Surviving is his parents, Wayne and Carol; brother, Wayne Schlauch; nieces and nephews, Micah, Patrick, Leyha, Lauren, Robert and Ryan; 8 great-nieces and great-nephews with one soon to arrive and aunts, uncles and cousins.

Friends may call Sunday, Sept. 24th from 1-3 p.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston where services will be held at 3:00 p.m. with Ken Rambo officiating.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Medina County SPCA,, 8790 Guilford Rd., Seville, OH 44273.
