Michael "Mike" Rearick

Michael David “Mike” Rearick, 57, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 3, 2026, after a hard-fought battle with cancer.

Mike was born on February 27, 1969, in Akron, Ohio to Donald and Elizabeth (Beckwith) Rearick. He was a 1987 graduate from Cloverleaf Highschool and served in the U.S. Army from 1987 to 1991. On July 24, 2015, he married the love of his life Riza Reverente and they enjoyed the past 10 years together. Mike was a utility operator and had most recently worked for Mars Horsecare in Dalton. Mike was an easy-going guy who loved traveling, being outdoors, motorcycles, and watching movies. He will be remembered as a devoted husband and father who deeply loved his family and friends.

Mike is survived by his wife, Riza; children, Maddy Rearick and her fiancé Joseph Goddard, Calvin Reverente and his fiancé Julia DeGuzman, and Connor Rearick; father and stepmother, Donald and Dee Rearick; mother, Elizabeth Barth; brothers Scott (Shannon Heffner) Rearick and Don (Lisa) Rearick; step sister, Lori Kline; step brothers, Bryan (Angie) Barth and Scott Barth; niece, Cassidy Simon; nephews, Justin Rearick and Andrew, Tyler and Daniel Kline; and many cousins.

He is preceded in death by his stepfather, Gary Barth and stepsister, Jenny Emery.

Friends may call on Saturday, May 9 at Medina Community Church, 416 S. Broadway St, Medina, OH, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. with a memorial service being held at 1:00 p.m. at the church.
