Michael Thomas Murray

Michael Thomas Murray, 70, of Rittman, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2025 at Summa Barberton Hospital.

Mike was born on Aug. 16, 1954 in Wadsworth to James J. and M. Dolores (Burns) Murray and was a 1972 graduate of Wadsworth High School.  On April 25, 1975 he married Sheila Raye Butler and they made their home in Rittman for the past 50 years.  Mike was a self-employed brick layer for 30 years having called his business, Mason Crete and then had worked at Home Depot in Fairlawn for 10 years.  A man of great faith, he was a gentle and kind man who worked hard and loved his family, especially his grandkids.  He also enjoyed listening to music and watching movies.

Surviving is his wife, Sheila; daughter, Heidi (Bryon) Bell of Rittman; son, Matthew  (Steven) Murray of Rittman; grandchildren, Park and Jacob Ketler and brothers, Steve (Sue) Murray of Green and Jeff Murray of Florida.

At Mike’s request, there will be a private family celebration.
