Michael Joe Labant

Michael Joe LaBant, 76, of Seville, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, June 10, 2023 at his home.

Mike was born in Cleveland on Aug. 30, 1946 to Joe and Eula (Reed) LaBant and graduated from Cloverleaf High School.  He retired from Rupp-Vue Farms and had made his home in the area all of his life.  He had enjoyed hunting and fishing and spending time at Chippewa Lake in recent years.

Surviving are his sons, Michael (Roberta) LaBant of Akron and Charles LaBant of Sterling; grandchildren, Tamara Lynn and Aaron Michael and a great-granddaughter, Octavia.

Mike was preceded in death by his daughter, Cindy Kesslar, his father Joe Labant, his mother Eula Borland and a half-brother, Jody LaBant

Graveside services will be Friday, June 16th at 1:00 p.m. at Woodlawn Cemetery in Wadsworth with Rev. Chris Hunt officiating.  There will be no calling hours.  Murray Funeral Home in Creston is handling arrangements.
