Michael Curtis Hostetler

Michael Curtis Hostetler, 48 of Wooster, passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2024 at Wooster Community Hospital following a sudden illness.

Michael was born on Oct. 23, 1976 to James A. and Nina L. (Hackworth) Hostetler and was a 1995 graduate of Central Christian High School.  For the past 26 years he was the Clerk for the Criminal Division of the Wayne County Clerk of Court.  Michael had made his home in Creston most of his life and enjoyed following the Guardians and Cavs, playing video games and Star Wars.

Surviving is his mother, Nina of Wooster; brothers and sisters-in-law, Bryan K. and Lucy Hostetler of Richlands, NC and James R. and Jessica Hostetler of Creston; nephews and niece, Jeriah and his wife Lauren Hostetler and their son, Elijah of Creston, Jesiah Hostetler of Jacksonville, NC and Kathlita Hostetler of Creston.

He was preceded in death by his father, James on May 10, 2019.

Services will be Monday, Dec. 16th at 11:00 a.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston with Pastor John Castle officiating.  Burial will be in Creston Maple Mound Cemetery.  Friends may call on Sunday from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
