Mervin R. Yoder

Mervin R. Yoder, 49, of 8105 Hoy Road, Fredericksburg, died Monday afternoon, Nov. 5, 2018 at his home following a short illness.

He was born Feb. 22, 1969 in Wayne County to the Emma D. Yoder and the late Raymond M. Yoder. He is a member of the Old Order Amish Church.

Surviving are his mother, Emma; 4 brothers and 4 sisters, Leroy (Laura) Yoder of Wooster, Wayne (Clara) Yoder of Fredericksburg, Vernon Yoder of the home, Robert (Irene) Yoder, Freda (Perry) Miller and Wilma (Christ) Miller all of Fredericksburg and Irene (Eli) Hostetler of Apple Creek and Ruby (Roman) Troyer both of Apple Creek and 20 nephews and 19 nieces.

In addition to his father, Raymond, he was preceded in death by grandparents, 2 nephews and 1 niece.

Funeral services will be Thursday, Nov. 8th at 9:00 a.m. at the Perry Miller residence, 8383 Hoy Road, Fredericksburg with Bishop Lee Hershberger officiating. Burial will be in Yoder Cemetery, Prairie Township, Holmes County. Friends may call anytime on Tuesday and Wednesday at the Perry Miller residence. Murray Funeral Home in Fredericksburg is handling arrangements. The family expresses their deepest thanks to Hospice and to the many friends that help during Mervin’s illness.
