Mervin Eugene Stack, 71, of Wooster, died peacefully surrounded by his family on Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at LifeCare Hospice in Wooster after a brief illness.
Merv was born July 19, 1946 in Zanesville to the late Louis and Ethel (Cehrs) Stack and served in the U.S. Army from Feb. 2, 1965 – Feb. 23, 1967. He married Deborah Ann Croft on Oct. 9, 1979 who survives and retired from Smithville Manufacturing with over 30 years of service. Mervin had made his home in the Wooster area most of his life and enjoyed fishing, baseball, bowling, watching Westerns and listing to Country Music. His greatest enjoyment was his family, especially his grandchildren.
Surviving are his wife, Deborah; children, Randy (Jowana) Stack and Robin Stack both of Wooster, Laura Stack of Sandusky and Roger Stack of Medina; grandchildren, Dakota, Sierra, Emili and Ashlie; sister, Doris; half-sister, Sharon; half-brothers, Ronald, Lester, Charles, Robert and Daniel Morr and host of family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Mary.
Services will be Wednesday, April 11that 2:30 p.m. at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery with Rev. Chris Fletcher officiating. There will be no calling hours. Tributes may be shared at www.Murray-Funeral-Home.com
