Wooster

Mary L. Bricker, 78, of Wooster, passed away on Sunday, June 4, 2023 at Orrville Pointe in Orrville after a lengthy illness.

Mary was born on Sept. 10, 1944 in Medina County to Dr. Arthur and Betty (Bishop) Wolf.  She was a 1962 graduate of Cloverleaf High School where she was a cheerleader for all four years and she continued to be her family’s biggest cheerleader over the years.  On Sept. 12, 1964 she married Robert D. Bricker and they made their home in Wooster.   Mary was a member of Canaan Lutheran Church and was a former member of Creston Moose Lodge.  She had served on the Board for Wooster Parks and Recreations and over the years enjoyed playing cards with her group of friends and spending many years at Prairie Lane Lake with her family.  Mary never bought just one of anything and her favorite thing was always “extra”.  She always looked sharp with her nails always done and every hair in place and she will always be loved and forever missed.

Surviving is her husband, Bob; her children and their spouses, Brian and Nicki Bricker of Wooster and Kelli and Missie Bricker-Bratcher all of Wooster; grandchildren, Britny and husband Riley Eggeman of Marshallville, Kassi Cyrus of Wooster and Conner Cyrus of Travis Air Force Base in CA; great-grandson, Sutton Eggeman;  granddogs, Echo, Xena and Lexi; sister and brothers, Kaye and Rich Barrick of Ft. Myers, FL, Joe and Ann Wolf of Wooster and Kent Wolf and Barb Barkes of Ft. Myers, FL ; sister-in –law and her husband, Sue and Tom Hohenshil and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents Dr. Arthur and Betty Wolf and her in-laws, Clyde and Pauline Bricker and brother-in-law, Ronald J. Bricker.

A private family graveside service will be held on Friday at Creston Maple Mound Cemetery.  Friends will be received on Friday, June 9th from 4-7 p.m. at Canaan Lutheran Church, 10851 Friendsville Rd., Creston, OH.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Orrville Pointe, 230 S. Crown Hill Rd., Orrville, OH 44667.  The family extends their deepest thanks to the staff of Orrville Pointe and LifeCare Hospice for the wonderful care and love given to Mary.  Murray Funeral Home in Creston is handling arrangements.
