Mary Joan (Reynolds) Kerstetter

Mary Joan Kerstetter, 91, of Lattasburg, passed away on Friday, Dec. 16, 2022 at Brookdale Wooster after a lengthy illness.

Mary was born on Nov. 14, 1931 in Sterling to the late Ned Sr. and Fern (Sample) Reynolds and was a 1949 graduate of Sterling High School.  ON Dec. 31, 1955 she married Jack Kerstetter and he preceded her in death on Aug. 10, 2012.  She had worked at the Ohio Farmers Insurance Co. and had made her home in the Lattasburg area since 1964.  She was a member of the Congress Community Church and was an avid Cleveland Indians, Ohio State Buckeye and College Basketball Fan.  Mary loved playing Euchre, having played on Saturday evenings in Creston and she enjoyed going to Bingo.  She will always be remembered for caring for her family and spoiling her grandchildren.

Surviving are her 8 children and spouses, Carole and Richard Weaver of Brighton, MI, Jack and Kelly Kerstetter of Worthington, John Kerstetter of Wooster, Ned and Susan Kerstetter of Westerville, Kenneth and Tammy Kerstetter of Wooster, Michael and Pam Kerstetter of Upper Arlington, Kathryn Preston of Lattasburg and Elizabeth and Donald Simone of Orrville; 14 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and brothers and sisters, Robert, Glen, John, Ned Jr., Ralph and Blanche Reynolds and Ruby Bauman.

Services will be Monday, Dec. 19th at 2:00 p.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston where friends may call from 1:00 p.m. until time of services.  Burial will be in Sterling Crown Hill Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Congress Community Church, 10691 Franchester Rd., West Salem, OH 44287.
