Mary Nell Quarne

Mary Nell Quarne, 89, of Wooster, passed away on Tuesday, May 13, 2025 at Ohio’s Hospice LifeCare in Wooster.

Mary was born on Feb. 1, 1936 in Jay, Florida to Stephen and Jessie R. (Amerson) Simmons.  She retired from Regal Ware, Inc. in Wooster and enjoyed caring for grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Elwood “Al” Quarne of 21 years on Jan. 11, 2011; a son, Michael E. Duncan; a daughter, Barbara A. Lyon; brothers, Charlie, Murphy and Roy Simmons and sisters, Mamie, Myrtle, Essa Mae and Candace.  Surviving are her children, Kenneth M. (Jamie) Duncan; Charolette L. Duncan, Sharon L. Duncan and Glenda M. Pinnicks; 13 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and 7 great great-grandchildren.

At Mary’s request, there will be no services.  Burial was in Wooster Cemetery.
