Mary Lou Eby

Mary Lou Eby, 87, of Seville, passed away on Monday, May 26, 2025 at Burbank Parke Care Center.  She and Jim are together again in the presence of their Savior, Jesus Christ.

Mary Lou was born in Akron on Aug. 11, 1937, to Ralph and Helen (Parkinson) Fair and was the Salutatorian of her 1955 graduating class at Seville High School.  On Nov. 3, 1956, she married James Forrest Eby and Jim preceded her in death on March 7, 2023.   She had worked at Sedata Systems and later Payroll Express in Fairlawn for over 20 years and had made her home in Seville all her life.  Mary Lou was a faithful and active member of Seville United Methodist Church where she had taught Sunday School, sang in the choir, served as liturgist and where she and Jim were members of the Two By Two Sunday School Class and she a member of the United Methodist Women. She was an avid sports fan having followed the Cavs and the Indians and when her boys were young, she kept score for their Little League teams.

Surviving are her sons and daughters-in-law, David Eby of Grove City, Greg and Lucinda Eby of Lodi and Chris and Velvet Eby of Westfield Center; grandchildren Angel, John, Heath (Sarah), Alan and Chase and a great-granddaughter, Isla June.

She was preceded in death by her husband Jim; a son, Brian and her parents.

Services will be Friday, May 30, 2025 at 12:00 noon at Seville United Methodist Church with Revs. Don Kuntz and Don Trigg officiating.  Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. Friends may call on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until time of services at the church.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Seville United Methodist Church, PO Box 32, Seville, OH 44273.
