Marlene Cramer Carlson

Obituary:

Marlene Cramer Carlson, 85, of Wooster, passed away Thursday, August 2, 2018 at LifeCare Hospice in Wooster after a brief illness.

Marlene was born Sept. 9, 1932 in Fredericksburg to the late Custer and Mary (Brown) Cramer and was a 1950 graduate of Fredericksburg High School. She married K. Douglas Carlson on Aug. 7, 1965 and they had made their home in the Cleveland area and in Glen Ellyn, IL for 18 years prior to moving back to Wooster in 1997. She had operated her own Typing Service and had worked in business as a private secretary. Marlene enjoyed playing bridge, classical music and corresponding with friends. She was an avid reader and a wonderful entertainer.

Surviving are her husband, Doug; brother, Howard Cramer of Wooster; sister, Kathleen (Leroy)Santmyer of Mansfield and nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Harold “Mike” Cramer of Perrysville and her sister, Shirley Ice of Fredericksburg.

Services will be Monday, Aug. 6that 2:00 p.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Fredericksburg with burial following in Fredericksburg East Cemetery.
