Marjorie Louise (Garner) Kimble

Marjorie Louise Kimble, 84, of Creston, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 23, 2023 at Burbank Parke Care Center after a lengthy illness.

Marge was born on Sept. 15, 1938 in Rittman to James and Irene (Cabell) Garner and married Virgil Verne Kimble on Aug. 19, 1955.  They had made their home in Creston since 1966 and she retired from OEC Corp. in Medina in 2004. Marge was a member of Creston Moose Lodge 1224 and enjoyed playing Bingo and spending the Winter months in Florida.  She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandkids and she will be sadly missed.

Surviving is her husband, Verne of nearly 68 years; sons and daughters-in-law, Jim and Susie Kimble of Astor, FL, John and Dottie Kimble of Medina, Vance and Kelly Kimble of Westfield Center and Nolan and Pam Kimble of Creston; son-in-law, Jeff Cleckner of Wadsworth; 9 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren with two on the way and her brother, Bill Garner of Seville.

Marge was preceded in death by her daughter, Diana Cleckner in 2020; son, David Kimble in 1961; her parents, a brother, Robert Garner and sisters, Martha Ramsier and Rosemary Reynolds.

Services will be Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston with Rev. Donna Van Trees officiating.  Burial will be in Seville Mound Hill Cemetery.  Friends may call Friday from 5-7 p.m.at the funeral home.  Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, PO Box 1000, Memphis, TN 38101-9908.
