Marian Arlene (Weahry) Young

Marian Arlene Young, 90, of Wooster, passed away on Wednesday, July 27, 2022 at her home after a brief period of declining health.

Marian was born on May 19, 1932 in Holmes County to the late Ellsworth and Goldie (Roberts) Weahry and married George W. Young on Feb. 7, 1950. George preceded her in death on May 5, 2000.  Marian retired from the College of Wooster in the Food Service Dept. and had also worked as a waitress and a seamstress.  She was a member of the former Westwood Baptist Church.  Marian enjoyed collecting Fredericksburg Pottery and cuckoo clocks.  She enjoyed going to the car races, auctions and playing Bingo but her greatest enjoyment was being with her family.

Surviving are her children and their spouse, Herbert and Carol Young of Supply, NC, Lillian and Ronny Duncan of Shreve and Barbara VanPelt and John Feltey of Wooster; 6 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and a great great-granddaughter; her special friend and companion, Larry Reed with whom she made her home and his four sons, Rory, Steven, Tony and David Reed that she thought so much of and a sister, Mary Ann Duncan of Fredericksburg.

Marian was preceded in death by her husband, a daughter, Blanche and her husband Jay Rohrer, an infant daughter, Dora Beatrice Young and sisters and brother, Anna Mae, Lucille, Elsie, Carol, Betty Jean and James.

Memorial service will be Saturday , Aug. 6th at 11:00 a.m . at Murray Funeral Home with her son, Rev.
