Marian Greenbank Steiner

It is with great sorrow we announce the passing of Marian Greenbank Steiner of Sterling on Friday, June 25, 2021. She died peacefully at home after a three-year battle of idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis.

Marian received a B.A., M.A., and PhD of Psychology from Kent State University.  After working for 10 years as a Clinical Psychologist she worked for 20 years as a school psychologist; mostly for the Northwestern School district.  Marian was an accomplished, award-winning watercolor artist. She had a great love for football and baseball.  Marian will forever be remembered for all the support, comfort, and mentorship she provided to those in need.

Marian was preceded in death by her parents Chet and Josephine Greenbank and her brother Mick Greenbank.

Marian is survived by her husband, Art Steiner; children,: Kelly Steiner, Kitsie (Matt) Ferguson, Vernon Steiner, Allison (Justin Pryatel) Steiner.  She was blessed with six grandsons, Brady, Lucas, Ian, Cameron, Liam, and Matthew. She is also survived by her sister, Margie (Rick) Hackenburg and nephews, Tim and Mike.

Services will be held on Saturday, July 10, 2021 at the Sterling United Methodist Church 13584 Kauffman Ave, Sterling OH 44276. Calling hours will be at 11:00 a.m. with the memorial service following at 11:30 a.m.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Ohio’s Hospice Life Center of Wooster, 1900 Akron Rd., Wooster, OH, 44691.
