Marian Sarah (Geiger) Reed

Marian Sarah Reed, 81, of Ashland passed away on Thursday, Aug. 11, 2022 at LifeCare Hospice in Wooster after a brief illness.

Marian was born on March 28, 1941 in Hendersonville, PA to the late George and Olive (Cheek) Geiger and married Junior Lewis Reed on Oct. 4, 1958.  He preceded her in death on Aug. 2, 2020.  Marian had worked as a Home Health Aide and had made her home in Wooster and later at Cinnamon Lake.  For the past 10 years she had resided in Ashland.

Surviving are her children, Terry and Annette Reed of Mansfield, Judy Reed of Creston, Sue Robbins of Phoenix, AZ and Teresa and Mike Ladrach of Rittman; daughter-in-law, Laura Reed of Ashland;  7 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and three sisters, Margaret McDonald, Linda Halsey and Barbara Linkish.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her oldest son, David Reed and 10 brothers and sisters.

Services will be Wednesday, Aug. 17th at 1:00 p.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston with Rev. Charles Burgess officiating.  Burial will be in Sherwood Memorial Gardens.  Friends may call from 12:00 noon until time of services.  Memorial contributions may be made to LifeCare Hospice, 1900 Akron Rd., Wooster, OH 44691.
