Margie E. DePriest, age 88, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 23, 2026, at Sycamore Run Care Center in Millersburg.
Margie was born on December 3, 1937, in Greenbrier County, West Virginia, to the late Clonie and Anna Marie (Moore) Angle. On Dec. 26, 1959, she married Eugene DePriest and he preceded her in death on May 27, 1994.
Margie had worked at Birdie’s Restaurant, Rexroth in Wooster and at Rodhe’s IGA. She was a member of Amazing Grace Baptist Church in Millersburg where she enjoyed singing in the choir. She also enjoyed playing cards and bingo.
Margie was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose kindness, strength, and love for her family were evident throughout her life. She treasured time spent with those she loved most and created a legacy of warmth, resilience, and compassion that will continue through generations.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Eugene DePriest; and her siblings Nellie Bonner, Herman Angle, Virginia Kaye Shamp, Cecil Angle, James Angle, and Dana Olive (Cook) Hawkins.
Margie is survived by her loving children, Gary (Sandy) DePriest, Kenneth (Tammy) DePriest, and Christopher (Brooke) DePriest. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren: Hayley DePriest, Taylor DePriest, Madeline Dillon, Avery DePriest, Gary William Blake DePriest, Alecia DePriest, and Bianca DePriest and 2 great-granddaughters.
She is also survived by her beloved siblings Raymond (Joyce) Angle, Bobby Ray (Lucy) Angle, Robert (Anne) Angle, Melvin Angle, and Verlie (Raymond) Eyler, along with many nieces and nephews, who will miss her greatly.
Services will be Wednesday, May 27th at 11:00 a.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Fredericksburg with Pastor Dave Bowles officiating. Burial will be in Killbuck Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Margie will be remembered for her loving heart, dedication to family, and the many lives she touched throughout the years. Her memory will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
