Malcolm George Marshall

Malcolm George Marshall, 82, of Wadsworth, passed away on Friday, March, 15, 2024 at Wadsworth Pointe after a brief illness.

Mal was born on Dec. 15, 1941 in Wadsworth to Dwight and Musa (Collins) Marshall and graduated from Seville High School in 1959.  He was the class Salutatorian.   On Feb. 10, 1962, he married Norma J. Coen and they shared 58 wonderful years together until her death on Nov. 8, 2020.  Mal attended Ohio University and worked for Goodyear for 45 years having traveled over a million miles for the company.  For several years he also worked for Maibach’s in Sterling and after retiring,  worked as a consultant for Goodyear and several other Companies.   Over the years, Mal enjoyed bowling on the Goodyear bowling team, photography, journaling his daily activities, making special Birthday Cards for family and friends with his own photographs, and visiting and photographing Medina County Parks with Norma.  He loved music, singing and watching the Sound of Music and in recent years he loved going out to eat with his retired old men eating out friends, known as the ROMEO group.

Surviving are his sons, Michael Marshall of Wadsworth and Kevin and his wife Jan Marshall of Seville; grandchildren, Cammron Marshall, Stewart Jones, Andrea (KC) Farley and Crystal (Nathan) Perry; great-grandchildren, Tyler Farley and Temperance and Rodney Perry; sister, Brenda Marshall of Seville and nieces and nephews including special niece and her husband, Janet and Bill Schmock.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Norma; son, Brian Marshall; his parents; a brother; Dennis and a sister, Gwendolyn.

Services will be Wednesday, March 20th at 2:00 p.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston with Jim Yannayon officiating.  Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.  Friends may call from 1:00 p.m. until time of services.  In lieu of flowers, donation may be made to Medina County Parks or to the American Cancer Society.
