M. Pauline (Long) Posey

M. Pauline Posey, 84, of Wooster, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 28, 2025.

Pauline was born on Feb. 18, 1941, in Cambridge, OH to Ohma and Mary (Morris) Long and was a 1958 graduate of Waynedale High School.  On Dec. 13, 1958, she married Arthur Grant Posey and she and Art shared over 66 years together.  Pauline retired from Apple Creek Developmental Center after 30 years of service and was a member of the Fredericksburg Fire Auxiliary and the Wayne County Coin Club.  She loved playing Bingo and traveling but her greatest enjoyment was time spent with her grandkids.

Surviving are her husband Art; daughter Judy Phillips of Apple Creek; son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Tammy Posey of Wooster; her grandchildren and their spouses, Matthew Phillips, Melissa and Nathan Elkins, Lee and Sara Houseworth, Phillip and Tawny Posey and Jonathan Posey; great-grandchildren, Dante Houseworth, Joy Phillips, Taylor Elkins, Keith Phillips and Alexandria Posey, and a brother, John Ivan and his wife Darlene Long of Apple Creek.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister Margaret, a brother Homer and son-in-law, Keith Phillips.

Services will be Thursday, July 3rd at 10:45 a.m. at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Seville.   The procession will form at 10:00 a.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston and leave at 10:15 a.m.  There will be no calling hours.
