Lydia M. Hershberger, 50, of 7525 Harrison Road, Fredericksburg, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2026, while surrounded by her family after a one-year battle with ALS.
Lydia was born on Dec. 6, 1975, near Fredericksburg to Mose E. and Mary D. (Byler) Shetler and married Eli A. Hershberger who survives. She was a member of the Old Order Amish.
Surviving is her husband, Eli; children and grandchildren, Jonas and Elizabeth Hershberger and their children, Jalen, Joshua and Carolyn of Fredericksburg, Mark Hershberger of the home, Eli Jr. and Rachel Hershberger and their daughter Martha of Fredericksburg, Rebekah Hershberger and her children Westin Jace of the home and Wayne Hershberger of the home; her mother, Mary Shetler of Fredericksburg; brothers and sisters, Ervin Shetler of Fredericksburg, David and Martha Shetler of Apple Creek, Susie Shetler of Fredericksburg, Fannie Shetler of Fredericksburg, William and Elizabeth Shetler of Fredericksburg, Lewis and Emma Shetler of New Concord, Rebecca and Dennis Hostetler of Wooster, Josey and Edna Shetler of Apple Creek and Mary Shetler of Fredericksburg.
She was preceded in death by her father, Mose E. Shetler.
Services will be Friday, Feb. 13th at 9:00 a.m. at the residence with Bishop Atlee Hostetler officiating. Burial will be in the Troyer Cemetery. Friends may call after 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the residence. Murray Funeral Home in Fredericksburg is handling arrangements.
