Lucille Lozier, age 87, passed away on December 4, 2021.  She was born on December 23, 1933 to Earl and Anna (Steffanni) Hines.  At the age of 16, Lucille met Richard Lozier and they became high school sweethearts. She graduated from Homerville High School in 1951.  Lucille and Richard were married on June 14, 1953.

Lucille worked at several jobs: Ohio Farmers Insurance Co., manager of the Creston Lawson's Convenience Store, custodian of Seville & Creston Post Offices, and Seville’s Open Pantry and Wayside Market.  She was a den mother for Boy Scouts, Presiding Judge for Wayne County Election Board, and volunteered at Mt. Mission in Creston. Lucille was a member of Tree City Quilters, Garden Club, Friends of Creston Library, Friends of Wooster Memorial Park, Sterling Methodist Church, Sterling Prayer Breakfast, and Sterling Lap Quilt Sewer.

Lucille loved doing things for her family.  Her great pleasure was cooking family dinners and canning and freezing produce from their garden.  Lucille enjoyed all her travels in Europe, Canada, and U.S.A.  She also enjoyed reading and quilting and left everyone in her family a beautiful piece of sewed art.  Lucille’s sewing blog is LucySewsEveryday.blogspot.com

Survivors include Richard her husband of 68 years, children Eric Lozier of Bath Township, Ohio, Elaine (James) Baisden of Wooster Ohio, Clark (Robin) Lozier of Portage, Michigan, 3 grandchildren, Justin (Stefanie) Baisden, Jared (Mackenzie Davenport) Baisden and Natalyn (Chris Walter) Baisden, and 3 great-grandchildren, Jaxon Hobson, Kingsley Baisden, and Luke Walter.

Lucille was preceded in death by her sister Ruth Ann Hines, brothers Paul Hines of Wooster, Karl Hines of Polk, and Earl Leland Hines of Lexington N.C., and her parents.

Private family services have been held for Lucille. She requests no flowers.

Remembrances may be made to the Creston Public Library.
