Lora Christeen "Kitty" England

Lora Christeen “Kitty” England, 89, formerly of Homer, MI passed away on Monday, Nov. 8, 2021 at home in Rittman, OH after a period of declining health.

Kitty was born on Dec. 7, 1931 in Melvin, KY and was one of 16 children of Lathiat and Phenie (Osborne) Tackett.  She married Troy Akers and they had 5 children together.  On July 5, 1972 she married Bennie England and he preceded her in death on Oct. 3, 2002.  She was raised in the Old Regula Baptist Church and she loved quilting, sewing and crocheting.

She is survived by her children, Larry (Carol) Akers of Colorado, Candace Akers and Rose Marie Landmark of Coldwater, MI; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bennie, a daughter, Mary Ann Akers and a son, Gary Akers.  She was the last of her siblings.

Friends may call Sunday, Nov. 14th from 2-4 p.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston, OH.  A committal services will be held Tuesday, Nov. 16th at 1:00 p.m. at Fort Custer National Cemetery in Augusta, MI.  Tributes may be shared at www.Murray-Funeral-Home.com
