Wooster

Linda Marie (Mox) Monhemius, 74, passed away on November 6, 2026 following a courageous battle with Parkinson's disease. She will be remembered for her Christian faith, gracious hospitality, and devotion to others. Raised in Delphos, OH, she graduated from Delphos Jefferson High School and Capital University. Linda and her family called various places home, including Westfield Center, before spending the last 19 years in Wooster.

A devoted homemaker, Linda considered caring for her family and others one of life's greatest blessings. While she spent time working in various jobs over the years, it was her role as a stay-at-home mother where she found her true vocation – providing a strong Christian role model for her three children and staying involved in their activities. She was a member of Jerusalem Lutheran Church in Seville OH, where she consistently served others in various capacities including Tuesday Piece Makers (quilters). She had a special gift for making people feel welcomed, loved, and cared for.

Some of Linda's happiest moments were spent bringing her family together, especially during the holidays. She also enjoyed travelling, gardening, and baking amazing cookies.

Linda is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Erwin; her three children, Dan (Becky) of Cranberry Township, PA, Sara (John) Waple of Loveland, OH, and John (Beth) of Chatham, OH; and her eight grandchildren, Andrew (Grace), Brandon, Vanessa, Carly, Natalie, Leah, Ashley, and Cora. She is also survived by siblings, Jeannie (Mark) Hellmann and Michael (Victoria) Mox.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Franklin and Imogene (Slattery) Mox.

While her family and friends will deeply miss her, they take comfort knowing that the Lord she loved and served throughout her life has welcomed her home.

Calling hours for family and friends will be Saturday, November 14th  at 10:00 a.m. at Jerusalem Evangelical Lutheran Church with services to follow at 11:00 a.m.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Jerusalem Evangelical Lutheran Church, 9282 Acme Road Seville, OH 44273.
