Levi M. Shetler

Levi M. Shetler, 75, of 4008 Harrison Road, Fredericksburg, died unexpectedly on Monday, Jan. 31, 2022 at the Cleveland Clinic after a brief illness.

Levi was born in Salt Creek Township, Wayne County on July 23, 1946 and was the son of Mose M. and Amanda (Miller) Shetler.  On Sept. 26, 1974 he married Clara M. Hilty and she survives.  He was employed at Kidron Body, Inc. for 49 years and was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.

Surviving is his wife, Clara; his children and their spouses, Laura and Leroy Hershberger of Fredericksburg, Ivan and Fannie Shetler of Holmesville, Daniel and Laura Shetler of Wooster, Ervin and Esther Shetler of Wooster, Amanda and Andrew Miller of Fredericksburg, Katie Ann Shetler of the Home, Mose Shetler of Wooster and Robert Shetler of Fredericksburg; 27 grandchildren; brothers and sisters, John and Miriam Shelter and Dan and Jemima Shetler of Fredericksburg, Andrew Shetler of Holmesville, Mose Shelter Jr., Lizzie Ann Shelter and Mary Shetler of Fredericksburg and Fannie and Henry Miller of Wooster.

He was preceded in death by a son, Levi Shetler Jr, a grandson, Jacob Hershberger, his parents, a brother Enos,  a stillborn brother; a sister-in-law, Emma Shetler and his in-laws, Menno and Katie Ann Hitly.]

Services will be Thursday, Feb. 3rd at 9:00 a.m. at the Leroy Hershberger residence, 4122 Harrison Rd., Fredericksburg with Minister Eli D. Hostetler officiating.  Burial will be in the Yoder Cemetery, Prairie Township, Holmes County.  Friends may call anytime Tuesday evening and on Wednesday at the Hershberger residence.  Murray Funeral Home in Fredericksburg is handling arrangements.
