Leota M. Hutchison

Leota M. Hutchison, 87 of Wooster passed away on Saturday, Aug. 13, 2022 at Westview Healthy Living in Wooster after a period of declining health. Leota was born on May 18, 1935 in Mansfield and was the daughter of the late Irvin and Glorene (Gerber) Snavely. From 1976 – 2012, Leota and her late husbands operated a group home for the mentally disabled in Apple Creek called Country Acres. She was an avid shopper and she had enjoyed fishing and art coloring. Surviving are children and their spouses, D. Monie and Gennie Holmes of Wooster and Linda and Joseph Hershey of Creston; grandchildren and spouses, Ryan (Julie) Hershey, Lorrain (Nick) Hershberger, Aaron (Melodie) Holmes and Alex Holmes; 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by husbands, Curtis Hutchison, George Marshall and Don Holmes. daughter-in-law, Judi Holmes and sisters, Loretta Beichler and Mary Ellen Killian. Services will be Monday, Aug. 22nd at 11:00 a.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston with Kirk Kirk Fairhurst officiating.  Burial will be Apple Creek Cemetery.
