Leo Rowe

Leo Rowe, 89, of Burbank, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 23, 2023 at Wooster Community Hospital after a brief illness.

Leo was born on Feb. 12, 1934 in Wayne County, WV to the late Ray and Norma (Adams) Rowe and married Donna Hill on Oct. 8, 1955.  They shared 67 years together and were blessed with four  wonderful children and grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  Leo retired in 1997 from the Packaging Corp. of America in Rittman and had made his home in Burbank for the past 51 years.  Leo was a hardworking man who enjoyed hunting, gardening and cooking.  He enjoyed sports having been a little league coach and his grandkids number one fan.  He is remembered for his competitiveness, his wonderful work ethic and his love for his family.

Surviving is his wife, Donna; his children and their spouses,  Phil and Donna Rowe of Burbank, Dan and Valerie Rowe of Wooster, Tammy and Randy Yoder of Creston and Karen and Steve Schoolcraft of Orrville; his 6 grandchildren, Todd Rowe, Brandy and husband Dan Pack, Sheena Schoolcraft and husband Peter Nguyen, Kelly and husband Brian Ambler, Allison and  husband Andrew Hartzler, Lindsey Yoder and Derek Yoder; 4 great-grandchildren, Gavin Rowe, Gianna Rowe, Blakely Hartzler and Raegan Hartzler; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Thurman and Diana Rowe and Gary and Marilyn Rowe both of Huntington, WV; nieces and nephews; his adopted kids, Julie and Albert Gilbert and his special neighbors, Denise and Harold (Baldy) Rodeheaver.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Ray Rowe Jr. and sisters, Opal Cyrus, Doris Flowers and Roberta Rowe.

Services will be Monday, Feb. 27th at 11:00 a.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston with Pastor Lori Burdette-Steele and John Murray officiating.  Burial will be in the Burbank Cemetery.  Friends may call Sunday from 2-4 p.m. at the funeral home.  Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity United Methodist Church, c/o Janet Anderson, 2525 E.
