Laurie Lynn (Jervis) Mccune

Laurie Lynn McCune, 62, of Sterling, passed away on Monday, Nov. 15, 2021 at Akron City Hospital after a brief illness.

Laurie was born on Dec. 14, 1958 in Lodi to the late Wallace and Barbara (Decker) Jervis and was a 1978 graduate of Rittman High School. On June 30, 1984 she married Joseph A. McCune Jr. and he survives.  For the past 18 years Laurie worked at Wooster Brush.  She enjoyed working with flowers, crafts, collecting old paintings and pictures and playing Bingo.  She loved gospel music, especially Joey and Rory, and her fur babies, Chloe and Bella.

Surviving is her husband, Joe; her children, Joseph Michael McCune of Sterling and Shania Lynn McCune of Rittman; brothers and sisters, James Jervis of Wadsworth, Debra (Randy) Copley of Sterling, Tim Jervis of Sterling and Tracey (Doug) Miller of Rittman; Special aunts and uncle, Judy Arters, Bonnie Knopf and Butch (Lucy) Decker and her mother-in-law, Laura Sue (Jerry Dague) McCune.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Christine Wood and brothers, Brian and Michael Jervis.

Services will be Thursday, Nov. 18th at 11:00 a.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston with burial following in Creston Maple Mound Cemetery.  Friends may call on Wednesday from 2-6 p.m. at the funeral home.  Tribute may be shared at www.Murray-Funeral-Home.com
