Laura Michelle Anderson

Laura Michelle Anderson, 51, of Sterling, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, Dec. 18, 2025.

Lori was born on May 7, 1974, in Wadsworth to William “Bill and Susan Joy (Phillips) Shaw. On Nov. 14, 1989, she married Michael A. Anderson and he survives. Lori graduated from Stark State with a degree in Occupational Therapy and had worked at several area rehabilitation centers. She had made her home in Sterling for the past 27 years and enjoyed camping, scrapbooking and crafting. She loved to thrift shop and she loved her bulldogs, Winston who has passed and Willow.

Surviving is her husband, Mike of 36 years; son and daughter-in-law, Michael II and Becca Anderson of Sterling; daughter and son-in-law, Samantha and Brock Maxwell of Medina; her much loved grandchildren, Caden and Kenlee Anderson and Bennett and Blaire Maxwell; her father, Bill Shaw of Uhrichsville; brother, Brian Shaw of Uhrichsville and a sister, Alicia Shaw of Rittman.

She was preceded in death by her mother and a brother, David Shaw.

Services will be Monday, Dec. 22nd at 11:30 a.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston with David Hausch Jr.  officiating. Burial will be in Rittman Cemetery. Friends may call from 10:00 - 11:15 a.m. on Monday. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Ohio’s Hospice LifeCare, 1900 Akron Rd., Wooster, OH 44691.
