Obituary:

Larry Dean Scott, 58, of Wooster, died unexpectedly on Sunday, April 2, 2017 at his home after a lengthy illness.

Larry was born Feb. 21, 1959 in Wooster to the late Kenneth and Jean (Ober) Scott and was a 1977 graduate of Waynedale High School. He had worked at Stahl’s in Wooster for the past 15 years and had previously worked at Crown Steel. He had made his home in the Fredericksburg area most of his life and was a member of Hands of Grace Church in Wooster. Larry loved riding his Harley and enjoyed working on old mowers, bicycles and tractors. He was a wonder drawer but his greatest enjoyment was spending time with his family especially the children.

Larry will be greatly missed by his wife, the former Penny Carafelli whom he married Feb. 7, 2009; his step-son, Matt Carafelli of Dalton; sisters, Carol Scott of Smithville and Lisa (Ronnie) Stanley of Fredericksburg; a brother, Richard Scott of Mansfield; his father-in-law, Peter Carafelli of Dalton and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant brother, Ronnie Scott.

Services will be Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Fredericksburg with Pastor Steve Smith officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery.
