Larry Dale Hartzler

Larry Dale Hartzler, age 61, of Creston, went home to be with Jesus on Wednesday, Dec. 1, 2021.

Larry was born in Wadsworth on April 26, 1960 to the late Dale and Joyce (Stoller) Hartzler of Rittman and was a 1978 graduate of Rittman High School.  On Sept. 27, 1981 he married the love of his life, LuAnn Steidinger of Fairbury, ILL and they were blessed with 3 children; Jed (Sarah) Hartzler of Seville, Kylee (Dustin) Raber of Wooster and Brock (Jenica) Hartzler of Sterling.  His M&M candy jar was always full for his 8 grandchildren that he adored, Wyatt, Felicity and Larry Hartzler, Hatty, Chloe, Peyton and Lainey Raber and Emersen Hartzler.  Larry is also survived by his step-mother, Carolyn Hartzler of Marshallville;  his sisters and brother, Connie (the late Fred) Domka of Mansfield, Karen (Ron) Laparo of Blacklick, Wayne (Camille) Hartzler of Creston and Amy (Steve) Dotterer of Wooster and nieces and nephews.

When Larry was sixteen, he accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior.  He had no greater joy than to know that his children walk in the truth, 3 John 1:4.  He lived out his love for Christ through both worship and missions.  His favorite pastimes were spending time with his wife, his kids and grandkids and going hunting with his sons.  He will be missed dearly by his family, friends and many clients that he served at Hartzler Accounting.

Friends may call on Saturday, Dec. 4th from 2-5 p.m. at Grace Church in Wooster.  There will be a private family service on Sunday at the Church.  Burial will be in the Sterling Crown Hill Cemetery.  Tributes may be shared at www.Murray-Funeral-Home.com  Memorial contributions may be made to Grace Church in Larry’s memory, 4599 Burbank Rd., Wooster, OH 44691.
